Jeff Wilson, the founder and owner of Wilson Woodscape, Inc., brings more than three decades of hands-on experience in design and landscape construction in San Diego to every project. Born in San Bernardino and raised in San Diego since 1969, Jeff discovered his passion for construction at an early age and has dedicated his career to crafting outdoor spaces that balance structural integrity with timeless beauty.

While serving in the Army in the early 1980s, Jeff was stationed in Korea, where he developed a deep appreciation for traditional Oriental woodworking. The artistry, precision, and balance he admired in Oriental craftsmanship left a lasting impression, influencing his design philosophy. Upon returning home in 1984, he worked across multiple disciplines of general construction, building a strong foundation in construction practices, materials, and structural design.

In 1998, Jeff shifted his focus to landscape construction, where he found his true calling—combining technical craftsmanship with artistic vision to transform ordinary yards into extraordinary outdoor living spaces. His expertise encompasses custom exterior woodwork—beautifully crafted decks, fences, gates, pergolas, trellises, and shade structures—as well as hardscape construction, including retaining walls, patios, concrete flatwork, and walkways.

Jeff draws creative inspiration not only from his experiences in Korea and the traditions of woodwork, but also from architectural legends like Frank Lloyd Wright and Joseph Eichler. From Wright, he embraces design that integrates with its surroundings; from Eichler, he values the fluid indoor-outdoor connection, clean lines, and communal living spaces. These influences help give each of his projects a signature effect rooted in craftsmanship, balance, and livability.
